I.B.188

From Li & Liao (2017)

I.B.188 is a periodic orbit of the planar three-body problem: three equal masses that return to their starting positions and velocities every 177.63 time units, published by Li & Liao (2017). Class I.B orbits, for equal and unequal masses. It is weakly unstable (largest Floquet multiplier 1.233), so a small nudge makes it unravel over a few periods. The bodies pass within 0.0000149 of each other at a top speed of 259, line up 372 times a period, and the computed loop closes to 1.6×10⁻¹⁸.
