I.B.157

From Li & Liao (2017)

I.B.157 is a periodic orbit of the planar three-body problem: three equal masses that return to their starting positions and velocities every 97.35 time units, published by Li & Liao (2017). Class I.B orbits, for equal and unequal masses. It is unstable (largest Floquet multiplier 76.99), so a small nudge makes it unravel over a few periods. The bodies pass within 0.0334 of each other at a top speed of 5.48, line up 96 times a period, and the computed loop closes to 2.7×10⁻²⁷.
