II.B.3

From Li, Jing & Liao (2018)

II.B.3 is a periodic orbit of the planar three-body problem: three equal masses that return to their starting positions and velocities every 120.88 time units, published by Li, Jing & Liao (2018). Class II.B orbits, mostly long-period. It is unstable (largest Floquet multiplier 19.7), so a small nudge makes it unravel over a few periods. The bodies pass within 0.000214 of each other at a top speed of 68.4, line up 184 times a period, and the computed loop closes to 2.5×10⁻²⁴.
