II.A.3

From Li, Jing & Liao (2018)

II.A.3 is a periodic orbit of the planar three-body problem: three equal masses that return to their starting positions and velocities every 145.33 time units, published by Li, Jing & Liao (2018). Class II.A orbits with an unequal third mass. It is weakly unstable (largest Floquet multiplier 2.340), so a small nudge makes it unravel over a few periods. The bodies pass within 0.00521 of each other at a top speed of 13.9, line up 262 times a period, and the computed loop closes to 3.0×10⁻²⁵.
